My story behind doodlediaries publishing my series of dog books – When we added Henry and Polly to our family nine years ago, I instantly fell in love with them. Doddles have such funny, loving personalities. At times they seem almost human. Over time when I took the dogs out on walks in public areas, I noticed children were drawn to them. I think it has something to do with their puffy, soft curly fur and their fluffy top knots. While I was walking the dogs, children would randomly run towards the dogs laughing and wanting to pet and hug them. On one such outing eight or nine years ago the thought popped into my mind that I should write books with stories about doodles to create the joy I saw in the children for all children. Over the years I have noticed doodles out in public everywhere, even when I’m on vacation. Doodles seem to be very popular. Also, every time I chat with doodle owners, I find that we all have that strong love for our smart, funny, loving, curly doodles. When Teddy joined our extended family last year falling in love with him really pushed me to finally write the books. Basically, I love doodles and I think children are wonderful, so I think writing doodle books for children is a great idea.
